Call It Your Lead Development System, But Don't Call It CRM

The article on WebCPA called
Knowledge Is Power shows how CPAs are using technology to manage and grow their practices. The article features different firms and the software they use such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, and SalesLogix.
Although we aren't mentioned, one of our clients spells out how they use SalesLogix within their organization. They are quoted on page 4 of the article. Grant Thornton has over 500 users of the system throughout their organization and are using the system build sales and keep their teams from going after the same business.
Harris Technology implements Microsoft CRM and SalesLogix for clients by building applications that help the cultivate new business and service existing customers. These systems work the way business works and how you would expect technology to work. Call it your lead development system or sales accelerator, but don't call it CRM.
